Shmia days like today.

I watched Hannah Montana all morning long, and I am not one bit ashamed of myself.
I'm the biggest klutz.
According to the guys of the pack and ship, I'm a dork and weird.
I tried to hit the driver's side visor up quickly while I drove out of my parking stall and ended up hitting it off the hook and into the bridge of my nose. It's bruised. Eyes watered.
I tripped over some boxes while trying to help people at the pack and ship. The people audibly laughed at me as I tried to play it off like no big deal.
I charged a man too much for shipping, and he nearly chewed my head off for it.
I can't form words out loud today.
Unintentionally snorted while I was mumbling under my breath on my way to work.
I had to try on leotards in the storage closet at Dance Works because both dressing rooms were being used for minutes on end with no sign of life emerging.
I had a dream that the summer show I'm choreographing this year ended up as a repeat of two years ago. Talk about scary.
I choreographed a dance for said musical that involves lots of booty shaking and shimmying. (It's about tail feathers though so I feel justified.) The shmia part is, I didn't realize people were watching me through the front room windows of my house. (I promise I'm not that kind of girl!!)

Shmee + Mia = Shmia

Manifesto Ultimatum: Part XVII

*****SPOILER ALERT. IF YOU, FOR SOME REASON, HAVE NOT SEEN THE FILMS OR READ THE BOOKS OF THE FOLLOWING, YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ THIS UNTIL YOU DO. (If you seriously haven't, I don't think we can be friends until you do. So repent and change your ways.)*********

Challenge Number Seventeen:
Ten favorite fictional characters
and which fictional world you wished you lived in.

Hogwarts. I wish I lived in the Harry Potter world. No, not the one in Florida. Although they have amazing chocolate frogs (thanks, Chandi), I'm sure they are nothing compared to the ones on the real life Hogwarts Express and World of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Sure it would be kind of scary having magical powers, but I would learn how to use them correctly at Hogwarts. The following are my favorite ten characters from this world:

Hermione Granger (DUH she's number one on my list. I want to be her. I'll spare you from any more details than that because I could go on forever.)

Sirius Black (The most incredible fictional father-figure. I cry every time he dies in the fifth one.)

Professor Remus Lupin (he was patient with Harry during Harry's tantrum stage of life. And he and Tonks' death was just about as sad as Sirius Black's.)

Fred and George Weasley (they count as the same person, basically. When taken out of context, they aren't actually that funny, so if you wanted to quote them you would have to quote entire preceding paragraphs. But they are still one of my favorites. Also, their separation by death in the end is another tear-jerker.)

Ginny Weasley (P.s. I would have picked Dean Thomas over Harry any day. Sorry, Harry. I mean, Ginny, get a grip. Harry may have been "The Chosen One," but what do you honestly see in him? Nothing. P.P.S. She is also my favorite because if I were to have a red-headed child in the future, I'm 99.9% sure I would name her Ginny. Just saying.)

Professor McGonagall (No words can describe her courage and the respect I have for her. Also, she is such a hysterical old lady in the last film.)

Oliver Wood (mmm. Enough Said.)

Dean Thomas (do I even need a parenthetical on this one? Nope. But, nevertheless, he's the yummiest thing since ice cream.)

Luna Lovegood (she is the perfect amount of normal and independent and confident and outlandishly strange.)

Draco Malfoy (Ok, whoa. Before you get angsty, let me explain. Without Draco, in my opinion, the story wouldn't be as funny or as enthralling. Like the third book where Hermione punches Malfoy in the face? Super funny. He is especially intriguing in the seventh book/film, when he won't rat Harry out when Harry's face is all ugly. He obviously can tell it's Harry, but he doesn't want Harry to die. And then when Harry is trying to fight over the wands right before they disaparate from the Malfoy mansion, Draco practically gives the wands up. So Draco is a very complex character. I also love every time he says, "Potter" in his really annoyed tone with over-enunciated 'p' and 't's.)

Who are your favorite characters from Hogwarts?

An open heart is a scary thing.

People put up emotional walls to keep others away from their deepest thoughts and feelings. Sometimes certain people figure out just the way to get around or over or under or even through those walls.

Sometimes it's easier to hide behind the walls and to build them thicker and higher and wider. With barbed wire and electric fences and "DO NOT ENTER" signs. It feels like a safe place.

It's actually really scary to let your guard down and just tell people what's wrong. It's even scarier when you aren't expecting them to realize that something is wrong. So what do you do?

I tried so hard to keep him out, but somehow he crept in around the hi-tech security system. It was weird, and I don't want to say that I liked it, because I still don't know how I feel.

And I need to tell myself the following 5 words:  STOP. DON'T. YOU KNOW WHY.

Why do I have to be such a ridiculous girl?

Brought to you by the vague blog society, because I really need support right now, and this is the only place that remains untainted.

SOS.

Returning to that beloved Manifesto.

I'm ashamed. I never finished this Manifesto Ultimatum. I thought the desire to finish it would fade. Nope. It has been screaming my name for months now, so this time I am bound and determined to finish it. For Connor, if not for my own sense of accomplishment.

Challenge Number 16:
Write about your favorite era
and why you should have grown up there, etc.

Otay. My favorite era is most definitely the post-WWII slash late 40's. Either that or the twenties.... but we'll stick to this one for now.

The late 40's is by far the classiest era, in my opinion. I mean, just look at the way they dressed! And the dancing of that time? Jaw-dropping. Can't you just imagine me fitting right in with all of them?

Favorite Movie portraying that era: White Christmas. Hands down. It is a family tradition to watch it every year on or just after Thanksgiving to welcome in the Christmas season. I love love LOVE that movie. I can quote it backwards and forwards, and I know all the words to every song. Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen are stunning. If you haven't watched this video, you have committed a serious injustice to yourself, so call me, and I'll come right over with the DVD in hand. Even if it's in the middle of April or May.

Happy Manifesting, Lovelies!

Houston, We have a problem.

I love Astronomy. I don't love how much work is involved in the class and how much information I am accountable for, but I love learning about our surroundings [on a very large scale].

A lot of people say learning about these things makes them feel insignificant and worthless. I am here to tell you that you are wrong-- it should have the exact opposite effect on us. Heavenly Father created so many beautiful, magnificent, and awe-inspiring things in the skies. They are giant spheres of gas an dust that emit photons of color and react with gravity and chemical compositions of other gases and dusts. They explode when they get too old. They are so many things in the galaxies and space, that there is no way we can comprehend it all without a severe headache. And yet, our loving Heavenly Father cares about you. You can't even compare in size or luminosity to these giant creations in the sky, but God listens to every one of your prayers. He loves you and wants you to keep trying. He wants you specifically to reach out to others because He can see their needs like no one else can, and He knows that something in you {attributes, levels of understanding} will be perfect for that person. He uses you as an instrument in His hands. Look at the majesty of the outer space and the other planets and stars and nebulae and galaxies, and then think about the intricacies of the human body. Every vein, capillary, synapse, and cell has been put in its proper place so you can live and breathe an dance and sing and jump and run and swim and think and learn.

Is your mind blown yet?

God lives. He knows what He's doing. We need to trust in Him. And thank Him for every single atom and molecule of space and also of our bodies. He loves us!! So share that love with someone else today, ok?

Is Today Really Wednesday?

I have a problem. I never know what day it is. I get so confused and overwhelmed sometimes. So since I procrastinated some homework because half my day was spent as Tuesday (in my mind), I will just let you watch some goodies from the youtube.

I'm intrigued by her voice. And I love the female version of this song.

Ok. This song is too much. My new favorite. Thank you, Paige Young for instagram-ing it weeks and months ago. I never would've fallen in love with this song if we weren't friends! I worship.

This girl amazes me. Some parts are kind of gross (like the whole walking on the toes thing. Creeps me out.) and some parts are jaw-dropping-ly beautiful (1:37ish). Man. I want to dance like her someday.

This kid is absolutely hilarious. NOT COOL, ROBERT FROST!

That should be enough for now. Thoroughly entertained? Because I am. I hope you are all surviving your spring breaks and midterms and flus and every curve and bump in the road of life. I'm trying my best to do the same. Also, if you need some good laughs, let me know. I have a list of a ton of go-to videos on the blessed tube.

xoxo,
Eliza

P.S. Ok, Fine. One more. But only because I love Katharyn McPhee and Zachary Levi more than any other celebrities. (That is not true. Emma Watson tops all.)
